The
Health Show Wins A SAHO Green Ribbon Award

25, 2003, Saskatoon --- Saskatoon Health Region has received a Saskatchewan
Association of Health Organizations’ (SAHO) Green Ribbon Award. The
Health Show won in the communications category for its creative approach
in providing information to region residents. The show was praised for
its excellent teamwork and the good example it provides of the benefits
of community partnerships. This is the third provincial award for excellence
in communication for The Health Show.
Over 130 staff members and patients/clients have been interviewed and more than 40 services and programs profiled in the 13 live shows that ran from January 2002 to June 2002. Many other staff and community members also helped to facilitate interviews and filming. All of these participants made it possible for the show to bring local people together to highlight local health services and issues in an effort to improve the health of our community.
